Prairieville
Prairieville is an unincorporated community in the Ascension Parish located south of Baton Rouge, named for the once plentiful pastures and prairies that were visible from Highway 73, which are now covered with development.
Prairieville is a bedroom community for Baton Rouge, meaning many of the residents commute from Prairieville to Baton Rouge for work.
